Apple has released the first beta of iOS 8.1, oriented to registered developers for testing purposes. The beta arrives as build number 12B401. It came just a few days after the release of iOS 8.0.2, which fixed iOS 8 bugs and that introduced with previous iOS 8.0.1.

Apple has also released a new Apple TV beta and Xcode 6.1 beta 3.

Despite iOS 8.0.2 release there are some users who complained of some issues, like a bug that causes iCloud Drive documents to be deleted. Apple Pay will depend on NFC connectivity snd Touch ID, so will be supported just by iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and Apple Watch. Sood has also turned up evidence suggesting upcoming iPad generation will include Touch ID and will support Apple Pay.
