Thursday afternoon, Apple updated its iOS Podcasts application again. The v1.2 update addresses "additional stability and performance improvements," over the previous versions and adds a couple of new features. The Now Playing view has been redesigned with easier to use playback controls, playlists synced from iTunes now appears in the Podcasts app, and iCloud integration has been improved.

An outstanding issue with resuming playback when returning to the app has been fixed. Custom stations of podcasts will now update automatically with new episodes, with the stations stored in the cloud.

As with previous updates to this app, some problems have manifested themselves, including duplication of downloaded podcasts and assorted reports of crashes forcing a device reboot. A deletion of the problematic app, and a reinstall seems to fix the new issues for some users.
