We've seen ways to turn your iPhone into a DIY microscope before, but they always require buying something kind of exotic, like a ball lens, or an actual microscope.
This new take fromYoshinok on Instructables just requires $10 bucks, a shitty laser pointer, and little bit of makin'.
The end result isn't the most portable thing in the world, but with the stand it's actually reliable. Since you're always coming at your subject from the same distance and angle, you could theoretically even use it for actual science! Maybe. Instagramming close up pictures of things you've just got sitting on your desk is a pretty good second option.
