 triple-lens 2019 iPhone prototypes

The known leaker Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) last week published new information related to Apple's 2019 iPhones which could be featuring upgraded front-facing and rear cameras, lightning ports, and revamped internal layouts. These details have been shared with Indian site ComparsaRaja.

During the past week, Hemmerstoffer has posted two alleged prototype iPhone designs Apple is working on, featuring different camera layouts, later he’s also added more information about those triple-lense model cameras, which rumors have claimed to be the second version of 6.5 inch OLED iPhone XS Max generation.

One of those cameras will come in at 10 megapixels, and the second will be 14 megapixels, while apparently there is no information available on the third. The current rear cameras in the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are both 12 megapixels one runs as telephoto and the other as wide-angle.

Apple will likely continue dividing the role of these lenses between wide-angle and telephoto, but the report didn’t include this information. Apple up to now according to the report is still trying to decide which layout to adopt, a square-shaped that has cameras placed vertically but staggered, or the second choice where the lenses placed together horizontally.

The front-facing TrueDepth camera system which in the current iPhone models has 7 megapixels, it will reportedly be upgraded to 10 megapixels, earlier rumors and renderings have suggested the TrueDepth camera system will have a smaller space on the iPhone’s display thanks to optimization, helping Apple to come up with a smaller notch on those upcoming iPhones.

From the inside, The 2019 iPhone with triple-lens is reported to have a redesigned internal layout featuring a “less L-shaped battery” almost formed as a big square “with the logic board located above the battery.”

Previous rumors have claimed that Apple could transition from Lightning to USB-C in the 2019 iPhones, but Hemmerstoffer said that prototypes which shared renderings for do not feature USB-C.

All these Hemmerstoffer’s information depended on these alleged prototype iPhones, which he said are “still in the EVT (Engineering Validation Test) stage” and have yet to be finalized. At this point in time, It's uncertain yet if this information is true.

Up to now, this information is not asserted from any second resource, so we have to wait until more leaks surface with the passing of time to get a clearer picture on Apple's 2019 iPhone lineup features.
