WhatsApp in the latest update to the messenger app added the Face ID authentication option to the iPhones that support the feature.
The feature was in the beta phase, for the iPhone X and newer devices, through the TestFlight for some weeks, but the Facebook-owned platform submitted the version 2.19.20 of WhatsApp on the App Store makes everyone who has a supported Face ID device able to use the feature.
Enabling the feature the users need to use Face ID to unlock the WhatsApp app, but they still receive messages and calls from notification and they are able to reply or answer even the app is locked.
To lock WhatsApp with a Face ID, launch the Setting app, then Account -> Privacy -> Screen Lock and toggle Require Face ID to on if you have an iPhone with fingerprint sensors you will see Require Touch ID instead.
When you enable Face ID or Touch ID other options show off below to select when the authentication requirement will be active, immediately, after one minute, after 15 minutes, or after one hour.
When required Face ID or Touch ID is enabled, In case the iPhone failed to recognize your face or fingerprint, you should enter your iPhone Passcode alternatively to open the app.
In addition to Face ID requirement, the users in this update are able to download individual stickers in a sticker pack within the WhatsApp sticker store instead of downloading the entire pack. Select a sticker packs and tap and hold what you like of sticker, from the pop-up pan tap add to favorites.
