Mophie announced on Tuesday that its Juice Pack Access battery cases for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR are available on Mophie's website for purchase.
Mophie's Juice Pack Access provides additional battery life for Apple’s 2018 iPhone lineup, and it has the same design as the Apple's own Smart Battery Cases that the company last month released.
Juice Pack Access cases charge the iPhone wirelessly, by using the 5W charging capabilities, leaving the lightning port free on the phone for other Lightning-based accessories, for the first time Mophie's cases let the Lightning port accessible. The Juice Pack Access cases are priced at $99.95.
The Mophie's battery cases are more affordable ($29 less) compared to Apple's Smart Battery Cases, but that comes on the account of missing some battery capacity features, the Pack Access cases are charging slower (it's not a big deal with a battery case), and do not have the same integration with iOS, Apple’s cases allow you to check the battery level right from your iPhone, while on Mophie's you will need to check the small LED battery indicators on the side.
Apple Smart Battery Case
The Juice Pack Access has 2,200mAh battery for iPhone XS Max, and 2,000mAh battery for the iPhone XS and iPhone XR, while Apple's own cases provide more power because they have two 1,369mAh batteries.
The Juice Pack Access case together with the iPhone built-in battery provides up to 25 hours of total talk time for iPhone X and iPhone XS, and up to 31 hours of total talk time for iPhone XR.
The Juice Pack Access changes by using Qi wireless charger, or if you need a faster speed charger you can use a built-in USB-C port.
Mophie's Juice Pack Access cases are currently available in black on its website, with other color options coming soon.
