How to Use Animoji or Memoji Photos and Videos on Other App Such as WhatsApp on Your iPhone

Memoji and Animoji, which Apple released alongside the iPhone X generation, are designed to be created and used within Apple's Messages and FaceTime apps, but many users have a desire to share and use these awesome animations on other platforms and for other purposes, to do so just follow these easy-workaround steps below.

The Animoji and Memoji are depending on TrueDepth camera system, which uses for Face ID authentication, Apple released this advanced TrueDepth camera with the iPhone X in 2017 and extended it to 2018 iPhone models: iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR, and also to 2018 iPad Pro versions.

How to capture your Animoji or Memoji statue and use it on other apps like WhatsApp

In a previous post, we have detailed how to create and use Animoji or Memoji in your iPhone or iPad.

• Once you are in the Messages app start a conversation let it be with yourself.

• Tap on the camera button beside the Messages chatting bar.

• Within the camera interface in the bottom left corner tap on the star-shaped button.

• Tap on the little monkey button to choose an Animoji or Memoji and then it will pop up to cover your face, and tap X to go back to the main view where you can add any other effects.

• Now instead of tapping on the shutter button, take a screenshot.

• Once a screenshot is token, a popup of the screenshot preview will show up on the bottom left corner of the screen, tap on it if you want to initiate editing on it immediately.

• If you opened the screenshot you will come across to familiar Camera app tools for editing the screenshot, or just adjust the bars to crop the photo and get rid of other unnecessary elements.

• Tap the Share button on the bottom left corner (a square with an upward arrow) and select the app you want to share the photo through such as WhatsApp Messenger if you don't see the desired app tap on More to get access to other apps on your iOS device.

• Within the chosen app select the contact you want to share the photo with.

• Returning to the screenshot editing view, tap Done to finish the work then a pop-up with two option will show up asking you if you want to save the photo in the Photos app or to delete it.

How to save your Animoji or Memoji video and share it on other third-party apps such as WhatsApp

To share an Animoji or Memoji video that mimics your real facial expressions could be more fun than just a photo statue.

• Initiate a conversation with someone or just with yourself in the Messages app.

• Tap on the little monkey button on the Messages bar and choose your Animoji character or a Memoji that you want to record the video with.

• Then tap on red recordings button to start recording a video, you can record up to 30 seconds in one time.

• Once the record is finished send it supposedly to yourself, and then tap on it to open on the full-screen view.

• From there tap on the Share button in the left bottom to access the familiar share sheet, and then select the app that you want such as the WhatsApp or any other app.

• If you want rather save the video to send or use it later tap on the Save Video button.

• The video will be saved in your Camera Roll, you are able to use it whenever you want, and to share it with any other third-party app you want, just go ahead to the Photos app find it and tap the Share button and choose the app you want.
