Last Friday the Indian blog CashKaro in the collaboration with OnLeaks shared CAD-based renderings comparing the so-called iPhone XI with iPhone XI Max, the expected successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

The two new iPhones will inherit the same 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED displays like the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, coinciding with an earlier report, the thickness of the upcoming devices will be slightly increased to 8.1mm for iPhone XI Max and 7.8mm for iPhone XI, the thickness in the current iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are the same at 7.7mm thick.

Apple measurement excluded the camera bump, it is expected to be reduced slightly in the size there, affecting the overall iPhone thickness, so compared to 2018 the difference could be inconsiderable.

One of the most prominent features that expected to see in the new iPhones as widely rumored, is the triple-lens rear camera system in a triangular arrangement, the camera will be housed into the larger square-shaped design and the bump as aforementioned will be less protruding, the rear panel on both devices said to be formed of a "single piece of glass."

The CAD renders also showed off a redesigned mute switch in the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max from the current oblong-shaped to circular one within a pill-shaped cutout, which will operate up and down, the switch is similar to that we find in older-generation iPads.

The renders suggested that the new iPhones will stick with the same design as 2018 iPhones, such as the notch, bezels, volume buttons, speaker grills, stainless steel frame, and lightning connector, any slight changes like in the bezel or notch would be more or less the same as the iPhone XS and XS Max.

In addition to the rendering pictures, CashKaro and OnLeaks offered up a 360-video of the larger iPhone XI Max.

The iPhone XR, which not shown here is expected to feature a dual-lens rear camera, an update from a single lens in the current model. As usual, Apple expected to unveil new iPhone flagships in September alongside Apple Watch series 5 and potentially other hardware.
