A report from Korean publication Digital Daily published yesterday, claimed that Apple has inked a deal with LG to provide flexible, plastic OLED displays for the company's much-rumored iWatch product.

The report says that production of these display panels would start in July 2014 with an initial target volume of 2 million units, and Apple want these panels because they are thin, light, and provide adequate brightness with minimal power consumption, insiders claim. LG is allegedly the sole supplier of the 1.52-inch panels for Apple's rumored iWatch

LG introduced the display technology in early 2013, and using it in the LG G Flex, the smartphone, which was unveiled in October of last year.

There are many rumors on iWatch from sevaral sources the latst rumor claims that apple facing manufacturing issues, and trying to improve battery life. Contrary to this report, iWatch would come in two different sizes the 1.3-inch and 1.6-inch ranges for men and women. It is worth noting, that the report has been pulled since then.
