- you can tap on the measurement number on the line to get a pop up displays the current readings alongside the conversation to another unit, and a copy option to copy the result and paste it into another app like Note or Messages.
How to make the Measure app measure automatically
The Measure app is capable to detect the square and the rectangular shapes and display its dimensions automatically, to do so just chose a rectangular object and move the iPhone in front of it,
You will see a yellow square outline your object, taping on it shows you the dimensions of the object, in some cases, it doesn't work automatically, if so you should return to the first tapping method to draw the lines.
The accuracy of the dimensions we get it depends on the end points we set, it means there is a room of errors, Measure app remains appropriate to get the idea of size, but for precise measurements, in serious cases, we might need to do that manually.
Level Mode
The Measure app has an option to convert your iPhone to a level tool, knowing a surface if it is level or not, the Level feature isn’t new, but Apple relocated it in iOS 12 from Compass app to Measure app.
To switch to the Level mode, tap Level at the bottom of the screen, to know the level of a surface you're trying to get level of like a picture frame or a shelf set your iPhone on it, at any orientation vertically or horizontally, tilt the device to show you how many degree to be level, once it's zero degrees it means it's level, and the color will change from black to green.
